Welcome to the DFW Mid-Cities Chapter!
7/26- DFW Mid-Cities Chapter - July Meeting
We are excited to have our July meeting at the Forterra Plant in Grand Prairie with John Dutchmann who will be discussing pipe design and installation techniques.
There are two methods for designing concrete pipe; Direct design and Indirect design. The indirect design method is most commonly used and allows the designer to choose from a list of available pipe strengths provided by ASTM C76 Standard Specification for Reinforced Concrete Culvert, Storm Drain, and Sewer Pipe.
Concrete pipe may receive additional strength by way of its installation. Learn how to take advantage of existing site conditions, and save your project money by using one of the four pipe installation types of ASTM C1479 Standard Practice for Installation of Precast Concrete Sewer, Storm Drain, and Culvert Pipe Using Standard Installations.
Based in Irving, Texas, Forterra is a leading manufacturer of water-related drainage and transmission products in the United States and eastern Canada. Their products include:
Registration price includes lunch. We will provide a BBQ buffet with all the fixin's!
We hope to see you there!
